I design and develop graphic solutions to visual communication challenges. In short, I make you look good by making you, well, look good. Every aspect of your project, from conception to implementation, will be creatively and professionally executed, and together we work as a team to create a winning solution.
Over the past 25+ years I’ve been a Senior Print and Web Designer, Interactive Art Director, Interface Designer, Video Animation Designer, Associate Creative Director, Adjunct Associate Professor, Art Director, Project Manager, Partner, Principal, Founder and Mentor.
I've worked with teams in environments that include an internet consulting firm, a software development company, two University of Michigan in-house communications units, the U-M School of Art & Design, and a design / advertising firm. A few of my projects have even won awards, most recently the U-M Medical School website (2018 Graphic Design USA Award, and 2017 CASE District V Award Gold for Best Institutional Website) and U-M Life Sciences Institute website (2018 CASE District V Award Silver for Best Institutional Website). I've also worked solo, running my own freelance business for the past 20 years and collaborating with some truly amazing clients, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software packages (among other specialty software), to make your project truly stand out from the crowd.

I earned my B.F.A. in graphic design from the U-M School of Art & Design, after transferring from Eastern Michigan University – where I had been awarded a 2-year scholarship in the art and design program. And after amassing hands-on designer experience at the University of Michigan, I began pursuing my M.A. in graphic design at the U-M.
Alas, finishing the degree was paused in favor of increased career responsibilities, unforeseen opportunity, and invaluable design experience. But the thirst for knowledge would remain, and throughout my career I have found myself regularly back in the classroom. Not only as student (sampling varied courses in design, imaging, UX and UI design, photography, art, animation, paper making, screen printing, drupal programming, project management, public speaking, supervision and leadership), but also as instructor (serving as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Visualization Graduate Program at U-M for 3 semesters).
I've also participated in a number of professional conferences (Creative Pro Week 2018, HOW Interactive Design Conference 2014, WebVisions 2013, MidWest UX 2013, HOW Design Conference 2011, Adobe Seminar Tours, HOW Design Conference 2000, C/NET Builder.com 1999) and memberships (National Association of Photoshop Professionals, American Institute of Graphic Artists, Ann Arbor Artist’s Co-op).
